2011 Huge Bear Pinot Noir - SOLD OUT
2011 was a challenging growing year in the Russian River AVA, which ultimately resulted in complex wines. An excellent August and September allowed steady, even ripening. The berries, harvested in late September, displayed a lovely complexity and brightness of fruit. The wine was fermented on the skins for three weeks before being pressed to one and two year old French oak, and aged for eight months in barrel.
Food Pairing Notes
This debut Huge Bear Pinot Noir owns the complexity and acidity to pair well with a variety of dishes. A few favorite matches that echo the wine’s character include: Grilled Pork with Cherry Reduction Sauce, Wild Mushroom Risotto, and Seared Ahi Tuna with Asian Spices.
